Cara Mia Vineyard, Red Mountain 73% Cabernet Franc 27% Merlot

Deeply floral notes with herbs and huckleberries in an opulent nose. On the palate, blueberries, dried herbs and an underlying savory iron component that provides energy and backbone to the wine. The tannins are velvet, persistent, and already integrated. 2020 was a tough vintage in parts of Washington, but Cara Mia Vineyard turned out a superb set of wines.

Cara Mia Vineyard, Red Mountain 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 16% Merlot

Redolent cinnamon and cherry nose along with classic Left Bank pencil lead. These are echoed on the palate, which is sumptuously textured, deeply fruited, and luxuriously long. The tannin/acid balance is meant for the long haul, but it’s gorgeous right now.

41% cabernet franc, 33% merlot, 17% petit verdot, 9% cabernet sauvignon

Coda leads with aromas of plums, spice and a whisper of oak. Flavors echo the nose but add layers of fruit interleaved with beautiful savory Franc character. The deep, rich, amazing mouthfeel marks the wine as clearly Franc dominant, as does the silky, soft tannins and beautiful length. An approachable, elegant Coda!
